In order to ensure your visit to the Klimahaus runs smoothly, we have put together some advice for you:
The interactive orientation of our exhibition enables a non-guided visit without any accompanying educational programme. You can access the exhibition rooms of the individual exhibition areas from the foyer, as well as being able to access the stairs / lift from here to take you to Opportunities (Chancen) or the “Weather Studio”.
The order in which you visit the individual exhibition areas should be oriented toward the needs of your group and their interests. There is no compulsory order. You could, for example, start with the Journey (Reise) or instead first of all take a look at the Elements (Elemente), or inform yourself about climate protection in Opportunities (Chancen).
Guidance system and accessibility
In the Journey (Reise) please take note of our guidance system with the blue and red globes. The blue globes show the standard route, whereas the red globes mark the easy access route without stairs.
Our experience shows that on a non-guided visit forming small groups and arranging a meeting point for after about 2 hours are recommendable. The “Landscape Stairs” (Landschaftstreppe) in the foyer are a suitable meeting place
We recommend you book well in advance; about 4 to 6 weeks before your planned visit. For booking please use the e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 0049 471-902030-0.
Please plan at least 2.5 to 3 hours for a visit to the Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° East.
As a rule, we will not be able to accommodate groups that have not pre-booked.
On the day of your visit
Please go to the group ticket office (Gruppenkasse) approx. 15 minutes before the time you have booked and show your confirmation of booking. Here you can pay and receive your tickets.
We would like to request you to be on time since a late arrival may lead to the rooms reserved for the welcome and introduction of your pupils no longer being available.
Without a prior welcome you will not be able to visit the exhibition! Should you be late arriving, we request you to let us know on telephone number 0049 471 902030-91. After the welcome, all rucksacks, jackets, etc. must be placed in a locker or given in at the cloakroom. You will receive a key for a locker by either paying a 5 € deposit or by handing in your identification card or passport as a deposit.
The “Landscape Stairs” in the foyer are a suitable meeting place to gather for a break together. This is the only area where you may eat your own food.
Our self-service restaurant “Längengrad” offers a choice of low-priced meals for school children provided you have booked in advance. Please contact us should you require further details on this.
Alternatively, we offer packed lunches for school children. For 3.50 € the pupils receive a delicious and healthy refreshment: a filled bread roll, yoghurt, a cereal bar, an apple and a drink. You are welcome to book the packed lunches in advance with your booking or you may purchase these in our “Längengrad” restaurant on the day of your visit.
